The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative

The Alzheimer's Art Quilt Initiative was created to raise awareness and fund research through art. It has two components:

Alzheimer's: Forgetting Piece by Piece, a 50-quilt traveling exhibit exploring Alzheimer's in quilt form. Submission deadline is June 5, 2006. Quilts begin touring in August 2006 and will visit TN, PA, CA< CO, VA, and KY with a combined audience of more than 146,000 people.

"Priority: Alzheimer's Quilt, an on-going auction of mini art quilts (9" x 12" maximum size) named for the urgent need for research funding and the method in which the quilts are shipped to their new owners, inside a cardboard USPS Priority mailer. Auctions begin the first day of each month.

All Profits donated to Alzheimer's Research.
